1. Acceptance of these terms
These terms govern your use of this website and the claims assistance service offered by SBGOK (Stichting Belangenbehartiging Gedupeerden Online Kansspelen), a Curaçao-registered foundation, Chamber of Commerce no. 149704, based at Saliña Galleries Unit D205A, Willemstad, Curaçao. By submitting a claim or otherwise using this website, you agree to these terms.
2. What we do
SBGOK helps players pursue legitimate claims against online gambling operators, including withheld winnings, wrongful account closures, KYC and verification disputes, and self-exclusion failures. We review the information and evidence you provide, assess whether your case falls within the types of claims we handle, and where appropriate pursue the matter with the operator, licensor, payment provider or relevant regulator on your behalf.
We do not guarantee any particular outcome. Taking on a case for review, or pursuing it further, does not guarantee that your claim will succeed or that any funds will be recovered.
3. Not a law firm
SBGOK is a foundation representing players’ interests; we are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. Where a case requires formal legal representation, we may refer you to, or work alongside, independent legal counsel.
4. Your responsibilities
When you submit a claim, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge, and that you have the right to share any evidence or documents you upload. Providing false or misleading information may result in your claim being declined or withdrawn.
5. Fees
Submitting a claim for assessment is free. If SBGOK agrees to pursue a matter, the funding and fee arrangement will be set out in a separate written engagement agreement before recovery work begins. Depending on the case, this may include a contingency fee calculated on money actually recovered. Any court fee, expert cost or independent-counsel fee is separate and must be disclosed in writing before it is incurred. The website does not establish a universal percentage or replace the signed engagement terms. If a case is declined after assessment, no SBGOK assessment fee is due.
6. Evidence and documents
Documents and evidence you upload remain your property. By submitting them, you grant SBGOK permission to use, share and reference them as necessary to assess and pursue your claim, including sharing them with the operator, licensor, payment provider, regulator, or legal advisors involved in your case.
7. Confidentiality
We treat the details of your case as confidential and handle your personal data in accordance with our
Privacy Policy. We will not publish your name or case details publicly, including in our Newsroom, without your explicit consent.
8. No guarantee, limitation of liability
While we take care in assessing and pursuing claims, SBGOK cannot guarantee the outcome of any case, the timeframe for resolution, or the recovery of any funds. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SBGOK is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or our claims assistance service.
9. Website content and intellectual property
The content on this website, including text, graphics and our Newsroom articles, belongs to SBGOK or is used with permission, and may not be reproduced without our consent, except for reasonable quotation with attribution.
10. Ending our involvement
You may withdraw your claim from our handling at any time by contacting us. We may also decline to take on, or may withdraw from, a case at our discretion — for example, if we assess it does not fall within the types of claims we handle, or if information provided proves inaccurate.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Curaçao. Any disputes arising from these terms or our service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Curaçao, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated review date.
