How the contingency fee actually works

Assessment is free; if a case proceeds, any contingency arrangement or external cost belongs in case-specific written terms.
Editorial desk

SBGOK’s current public website says that claims may, where necessary, be handled on a contingency or no-cure-no-pay basis. That does not establish one universal percentage or mean that every case uses the same arrangement.

The eligibility check and initial assessment are free. If SBGOK offers to pursue a matter, the written engagement terms must state the funding structure, any contingency percentage, how recovery is defined for the calculation, and how external court, expert or independent-counsel costs would be handled.

The general framework appears in the Terms & Conditions and fee information. The signed engagement terms for the case control the actual calculation and obligations.

Why this matters

A claimant should know that free assessment and a later case-specific funding agreement are separate stages.
