Licensing
A licence record is an important starting point, but it does not by itself determine every right or dispute route. Check the operator’s legal entity, authorised domains, current licence or transitional status, the terms that applied when the disputed event occurred, and any rules connected to the player’s location.
Warning signs include a licence or seal that cannot be verified, a domain that is not listed for the licensee, a mismatch between the trading brand and legal entity, and unexplained changes in the operating or licensing entity.
The Curaçao Gaming Authority states that it regulates operators but does not mediate or decide individual player disputes. A player should therefore also check the operator’s complaints procedure and any available ADR or court route. For an SBGOK assessment, identify the exact operator and domain and preserve the records listed in the evidence guide.
